Pros

Direct manager was very good to work for.

Cons

Private equity meat grinder. Since becoming Cabinetworks, bonuses were take from some parts of the business, but paid to others. Expectation is to give every waking hour to work, but they preach work-life balance and retention. I left on my own, and, I can assure you, the grass is greener elswhere.

Thank you for your review of Cabinetwork Group. We are sorry that the merger process was unfavorable. Our CEO often considers us a startup; we merged several companies, including policies, employees, and operations. We have taken steps to ensure that we are leading through our core values with the roll out of our leadership training program, LeaderWorks. We have increased communication and transparency at all levels of the organization. We will look into your comments and share them with our leadership team.

Pros

If you get on a good team, you could have more flexibility with your work/home life so that's helpful especially if you have family/children to take care of.

Cons

Where to start. Don't expect a livable wage, and if you bring the topic up to your supervisor, manager and HR that people need to be paid more they will ignore you. You will be expected to do at least two people's jobs without additional pay. I was told I was being promoted and my responsibilities and everything about my job changed, yet no raise. When I brought this up I was told I don't get a raise or pay increase because it was a 'lateral move'. In 4 years, I barely make a dollar more an hour than when I started. This company does not care about you. They care if you are breathing so you can do more work but that's it. Expect to eat A LOT of pizza because all you get for your loyalty is pizza parties. If your office doesn't have the budget to buy you pizza they'll do a potluck and dress it up as a "cook off". You're constantly being shut down when you want to bring up a concern or an idea to the proper parties.
