Pros

Decent coworkers. Competent HR. Not much else.

Cons

Immediate management is always under investigation for unprofessional conduct and ignoring employee concerns/needs. Main plant manager is very blase about employee concerns as well. They also have a tendency to fire you the week or day before your union date (3 months after hiring). Safety regulations aren't up-to-date and there's a myriad of constant OSHA violations. Harassment from management is often covered up by "suspending" workers and/or firing them for small and/or false reports from management. Reports from employees are heavily disregarded by management as well. Downtime is very high during production due to management incompetence as well (quarter of expected output). No pay benefits outside of union either. Turnover is incredibly high due to many reasons not all stated above. A high number of employees are also on the Registry. They have also recently cut many employees pay. Most shifts are running a skeleton crew due to turnover.

Pros

It’s not the worst job

Cons

Very poor pay. No cost of living raises, a MAX of a not guaranteed 3% “merit” raise. You will not get the 3% if you are not friends with your supervisor, and factoring in inflation I make less now than when I started. (Even after a promotion) Lack of HR presence leading to difficult work environments. A lot of interpersonal problems that have lead to sabotaging others projects and workloads. Management that will indulge in gossip and complaining about their team, to their team behind your back. Very unclearly policy a procedure. I could go on, every issue I have had personally, I have brought to the attention of the respective people who could address it. But there is ZERO follow through or follow up. (Maybe because unless you work at the main office in Linova, you don’t matter and you are out of site out of mind. Could be solved with having local HR)

Thank you for your review of Cabinetworks Group. With the addition of our Performance Management process and Leaderworks leadership training series, we believe that will open the door for more growth opportunities and productive feedback conversations within the organization with employees and people leaders alike! Our goal is to provide a competitive total compensation package that is in line with the market and skills required for each position. HR support is available to all of our facilities and employees. In 2024, any sites without an onsite HR representative will see more onsite HR presence. We're sorry you will miss that! We highly value the people that work for us and that is why we do everything we can to ensure they are engaged, supported, and heard. We have taken steps to ensure that we are leading through our core values with the roll out of our leadership training program, Leader Works. We have increased communication and transparency at all levels of the organization including our manufacturing facilities. We will look into your comments and ensure that we discuss your concerns with the leadership team. Thank you for your feedback.
