Pros
Very easy way to earn an income doing nothing at all. Keep your mouth shut and you will coast for many years, earning a better than average salary because after all, if you aren't doing much of anything aren't you getting paid for nothing? Don't complain, it could be worse. Enjoy it while you can and collect the check.
Cons
You will lose more skills working at Caesars within the IT group than not. Management has great ideas (through discussions) that never seem to materialize. Instead, you are filled with false promises that can never become reality. Education is lacking and non-technical managers and directors are leading the organization into a downward spiral. Management cares more about feedback and reviews regarding their performance than anything else. Anyone who joins the team, with any intelligence at all, will not stick around. These problems exist because of the existing executive management within the IT Organization. Nepotism is a huge problem at Caesars especially within the IT department.
