Pros

Ability to actually make a difference, learn a ton, and paid education opporunitities

Cons

Pay well below industry standards, raises are rare, CEO has no idea how to lead a technology company. Focused reducing costs everywhere instead of focusing on the most important thing: the customer. High turnover rate for such a small tech company.

Onestream Networks a Call Tower acquired company is a horrible place to work. Call Tower offers low pay in a semi-monthly fashion with weak benefits, demanding project managers, customers, and management alike. Call tower does not have a single documented SOP, SLA, or any training material. From day one you will be expected to take on customer-facing issues, engage in customer-facing meetings, take mainline calls, and keep up with the constant Call Tower playbook, which has nothing to do with your actual role. Call Tower will use its playbook and the advantage 101 while touting that they are a fun, employee-centered "tech" company with a wholesome atmosphere. They are not, if you open to them and give your honest feedback, you will be punished for it, I.E fired. I need to let you know, if you plan on working in the NOC you will not be on the data side. They have outsourced all their data work to two remote workers in India. Because of their lack of training material, if you are hired for the evening shift, you will have to work on the day shift for about four months first. They will not tell you this. They hired me to work on SD-WAN, or I thought due to my CCNP, I never once touched on a data issue... You will be working on: call path delivery, advanced inbound/outbound VOIP issues, and building DIDs in SBCs. Lastly, the senior director of the NOC at Onestream Networks has recently left the company. As well as the senior director of the NOC on Call Tower side has left... The gentlemen still working the NOC at Onestream Networks are legacy telecom workers that are disrespectful, agitated, and downright just hard to work with.

Small Company, CEO part of everything and involved in every micro detail of each client

Cons

This place needs to understand and appreciate their employees as they are leaving in droves this past year and seems to be a history of it

Our CEO is very active in the day to day business. He does challenge us to be our best. I have personally grown because of this. Our employee retention is better than ever before now, after a series of changes and adjustments, we are growing and a much better company than we were a few years ago.
