Pros

My immediate supervisor and our previous support director were incredible. You can learn a lot and be challenged.

Cons

I quit for several reasons, first was the lack of structure around pay and promotions. Second, they fired our support department head who was in my opinion, the hardest working and most respectable person in all of IT, not just support. Our IT leadership spent months denying his projects and improvement plans, only to hire a new department head that they are friends with…and all the sudden the same ideas and projects we had proposed are now being approved and sold to the business as if they are new. It just felt like a setup and was extremely scummy in my opinion. Lastly, my immediate supervisor who was so incredibly supportive and helpful unfortunately had cancer, and I felt like the company purposely made our department and their life even more stressful during a time when they should have been providing more stability and support. I truly didnt want to leave my team or my manager, but the company and IT leadership were becoming toxic

Pros

The building is lovely and located in the city.

Cons

There is no structure or reason behind any decisions made. It is looked down upon if you ask questions about the decisions or lead with a curiosity mindset. The culture is toxic, and you will be miserable. The benefits are HORRIBLE.

Pros

You will learn and observe many examples of how things should NOT be done

Cons

IT is on its 3rd CIO, head of IT, since COVID. Each one progressively worse than the last in their own way, driven by an executive leadership team that runs a multibillion dollar business on a wing and a prayer. This place is lucky it hasn’t completely fallen apart yet. Reading thru previous reviews on here, many are hitting the nail on the head when speaking on the IT department. This place has proven year after year that it has no desire to invest in its IT people. They will say change is coming, they want to improve the culture, raises are coming, career path planning is coming, workday will be implemented to help this….every year you will be given an excuse as to why you have zero ability to earn money or opportunity. It doesn’t matter if we are in a good economy or bad one, it doesn’t matter if they rollout workday, you will get nothing because the business simply never executes on investing in its people. So new people that start, quickly lose the desire and drive to contribute in any type of meaningful way because of the chaos, poor leadership direction, lack of opportunity, no incentives, and terrible application stacks, infrastructure and project management “processes” that hold the department together by a thread.
