Pros

If you love alcohol, partying, hanging out with young adults who are still stuck in college and have no desire to advance in your career, then this would be a PRO for you and this company.

Cons

This company will try to suck you in and make you think that you are being appreciated by buying you food & liquor, handing out gift cards, sending you on company trips to Cancun, etc. but they will work you to death and expect you to stay as late as possible into the early morning hours if it is busy season or EOQ. There are NO cut off times and unfortunately if you are in order management, your life will suck and this will mean you are expected to stay at work sometimes until 8pm, 10pm, midnight, and so on. You will feel like you can barely take breaks throughout the day, unless you enjoy staying late at work. The less breaks you take, the more orders you can process, and the faster you can get off work and go home. You will feel like a slave to your orders & the sales reps. The starting salary for order management compared to working overtime often, very late hours, high pressure and quantity of orders to process in a given day is a complete absolute JOKE. I get it, it's entry level, but if you are expected to do the amount of work you do AND stay late at times without getting paid overtime, the LEAST you can do and I mean the LEAST is start employees at $40,000. And even that is low and should be considered for a much higher pay. Also, there is no growth in order management and I mean NO growth. This position is literally ONLY good for entry level, 1-2 years experience staying here and then finding a better opportunity elsewhere. Unfortunately for all these reasons, this is why the order management teams have a high turnover rate. Do NOT go into order management, unless you can stick it out for a year or two like I did and find something better.

Pros

-good experience for resume -lots of resources for learning -health/dental/401k

Cons

-they hire you and train you for renewals and then you get placed on a random team where you do absolutely nothing with renewals so your entire 4+ weeks of training was a waste -you have to BEG for a raise. It is like pulling teeth. Management are trained to not want to pay their employees. -recruiting will sell you on all of these perks in order to get you into the door, but they are all lies. I.e guaranteed bonuses, company trip, gifts for moms, busy season contests to earn more money. -your experience at carahsoft is entirely dependent on which team you get placed on. -when begging for a raise, management uses the excuse of “well you’re technically a renewals rep which falls under a different pay structure so there’s nothing I can do” -this is a $10B company and every Sunday the CEO sends out weekly updates on how we’re doing $ wise, and it is so discouraging knowing how little they pay they’re employees -no room for growth - expectations of working late (sometimes 12+ hour days) with nothing to make up for compensation. - their past structure is sketchy. If you do get a raise it’s all a bonus. Which corporations get to tax higher, while writing off employee bonuses as a tax credit for themselves. -every “nice” thing they do has an alternative motive.

Pros

This company taught me exactly what I don't want in a job

Cons

Made tons of promises of higher salary, extensive training, and perks that were clearly lies. Expected me to work twelve+ hours a day even when there was no work to be done. Claimed to be flexible when there was no flexibility to be had. CEO hits on younger female employees, bosses play favorites. No windows in office, air is heavy with dust. Pay is way too low. This is a glorified sweatshop.
