Pros

none, awful company to work for

Cons

If a client cancels last minute you don't get paid. Poor coverage and not enough clients to meet full time caseload. All the BCBA's quit in the two month period where I was told I was hired to when I was actually able to start.

Pros

Helping children become independent. Healthcare Can accrue pto Paid Travel from client homes (if have more than 1 a day) Comfy clothes

Cons

No given pto Client cancellations = no work/pay No paid maternity leave No reimbursement for toys Extensive training, weeks before starting with kids Rbt training comes with being hired but you don’t get to take exam or get supervision till moved up to the position. Growth is possible only by seniority vouching to get you moved up. No paid lunch breaks, sometimes having to eat while driving to next client New mothers required to pay back for benefits being paid while out of leave

Pros

Working with children Centralized location for majority of workload Standard healthcare benefits Quality Behavior Technicians are being hired so less turnover occurs

Cons

Supervisors all have different job expectations of you. BCBA’s have never been consistently or formally trained on Caravel’s communication or general work expectations, how to supervise Senior staff, or provide training. Short notice changes to the workload. Work hours are not flexible and increase with little notice (sometimes only minutes notice before needing to work up to 5 unplanned hours). Pay is far below average for this position Work-life balance is not great for having a family or other commitments (therapy, volunteering, hobbies, etc.,)
