      seemed great, but just ok

      Pros

      work from home, good pay, good benefits, access to the best tools (software, hardware, etc), some great people to work with

      Cons

      fast paced, short-sighted management, some very toxic managers who bully and abuse employees, work life balance doesn't really exist, no clear or steady vision that allows employees to work toward something long term, management micromanages and focuses on speed instead of quality, no trust of employees' abilities. Feels like you're a call center rep instead of a seasoned professional.

      Good company and product, but cheap on raises

      Pros

      Fast-growing company with a highly respected product. Flexible work environment and very results-oriented management. Most of company (myself included) works from home.

      Cons

      Executives always drunk off corporate kool-aid and trying to get employees to be the same. Every company meeting is the same old same old -- the execs patting each other on the back and giving a glorified sales presentation. Glad I WFH so I can multi-task during this. Willingness to pay market rates for top takent is eroding, pushing top performers to leave. Benefits are just so-so (no 401K matching, crappy dental and health coverage, etc).

      - Flexibility and autonomy in fulfilling your job description - Respect and independence with how you manage your time - CEO is a distinguished leader with outstanding record at administrative accomplishments and mentoring of staff - Equity consistent with mission and values of Carbon Black

      Cons

      - Since going public the company has drastically changed, not your typical growing pains - Underqualified disrespectful middle & senior management has been brought in which has negativity affected work and productivity - Little to no investment in growing junior or new staff with ambiguous direction on future - Climate of immature office politics that adversely affect working towards the greater mission - Constant reorganization with lack of leadership causing negative culture - No 401k matching
