Fun job, but not without it issues

Pros

Intelligent and accountable co-workers. Engineering challenges that are exciting to work on. Great culture. A chance to work with a lot of fun tech, and 3D print a lot.

Cons

Highest level management makes questionable decisions. Subscription model puts heavy constraints on development costs for projects. This leads to frequent lay offs when the budgets get thin, and in turn puts pressure on surviving workers (5 layoffs in 5 years).

Sharp, innovative teammates. Good working relationship with outside teams.

Cons

Lack of total transparency from leaders. Juvenile, popularity based dynamics with colleagues. Disgusting overpriced lunches. Women paid less than men, The Equal Pay Act requires that men and women in the same workplace be given equal pay for equal work. The jobs need not be identical, but they must be substantially equal. Job content (not job titles) determines whether jobs are substantially equal.
