Thank you for sharing your feedback. At Care Options for Kids, we prioritize flexibility and work-life balance, ensuring our team has the support to meet both personal and professional goals. Our low full-time visit requirement reflects our commitment to valuing each team member and the importance of every visit for the families we serve. With a minimum of 22 visits per week for full-time status, we offer options that allow clinicians to tailor their schedules to fit their needs. Many team members opt for part-time roles or ebb and flow between part-time and full-time schedules. Others choose to complete 30+ visits weekly, often achieving this in just four days, allowing more time for personal pursuits. We measure full-time status quarterly, giving clinicians remarkable flexibility. For example, if you want to take a long ski weekend, you can make up visits before or after, or maintain a fuller schedule over the quarter to avoid needing PTO while enjoying time off. The ability to use telehealth or in-person visits to make up time further enhances this flexibility. This approach contrasts with rigid PTO policies where any missed visit requires using PTO. Instead, our system provides the freedom to plan and adjust schedules, empowering our team to maintain a healthy work-life balance. We deeply value our team and continuously strive to provide benefits and policies that reflect that commitment. If you’d like to discuss your concerns further, we’d welcome the conversation. Thank you again for your input!

Pros

Working with special needs kids

Cons

My nursing license was reported to the Texas Board of Nursing with FALSE Allegations in retaliation for refusing to falsify documentation for the agency. 'Care Options for Kids' is a recent business merge name change. They were formerly known as 'Pediatric Healthcare Connections' (PHC) and have remained at the same address. Nurses reviews regarding employment and experiences with PHC prior to their name change to 'Care Options for Kids' are plentiful online. I was threatened and retaliated against for refusing to falsify documentation, which resulted in (formerly known as PHC (Pediatric Healthcare Connection)) reporting my nursing license to the Texas Board of Nursing (TX BON) with False Allegations. Fortunately, this case was DISMISSED WITHOUT PREJUDICE on 03/16/21. No fines, probation, etc. I see they have rebranded themselves with a new name - 'Care Options for Kids'. Albeit may have been an expensive lesson learned by this agency, hopefully it will save future nurses from having their nursing licenses reported under false allegations for refusing to falsify documentation for them.

Pros

-free car program for a year -no micro-managing, yet

Cons

-constantly hiring without a referral flow so it will be challenging to fill your caseload in your area, despite them saying they have kids for you in the interview process. *RED FLAG* -you'll have to network yourself to fill your caseload -no community, meaning you won't be treating kids with the same ST/PT as other kids in your area. -high turnover rate, meaning you might be the 4th therapist in 6 months -They make you sign a contract for 14 months saying you owe them the bonus if you leave before then. - they seem unwilling to work with you - they don't care about their clinicians more than face-value and how much money we can make them - they are not open to negotiating pay rate, be prepared to cry at your annual to get a $2 raise. -the benefits are trash so make sure you have benefits through a partner or open marketplace (marketplace is better than COFK's benefits) -office staff and management are young and inexperienced so you're unlikely to have someone in the office/mgmt who will be able to guide you through situations as they arise. -COFK in CO was Solace and bought out by COFK so there are a LOT of unhappy clinicians in the field, no one is happy with the changes made and many are looking to leave. It's rare you'll find anyone with positive reviews about this company.
