Pros

Lots of holidays observed, and the location was within a decent commutable distance from my home.

Cons

Too many rude, toxic coworkers. If your supervisor happens to be one of them, expect to be micromanaged and scapegoated for everything that goes wrong.

Thank you for taking time to leave your feedback! I am so sorry that you were exposed to rude or toxic workers. That is not the culture that HR or Senior Management supports. I wish that we had received this feedback through Employee Relations prior to your departure and been given the opportunity to address it. If you are open to sharing your experience with us please send an email to EmployeeRelations@catholicguardian.org. I will see the email and I will look into the situation. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

You have the opportunity to help children, foster parents, and bio parents with practical things that make a big difference.

Cons

No opportunities for therapy work. Overwhelming- it feels like there is not enough time in the day/week to get everything done. Everyone is always needing something from you and you have very limited time and resources.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback! We truly appreciate all of the feedback we receive. In social services we constantly struggle with hiring enough qualified staff and we are continuously looking for new ways to find the best employees. It is never our goal for employees to burn out and we are very supportive of work/life balance with a generous time off policy. If there is anything you would like to share with HR so that we can look into these concerns more thoroughly please reach out to us at EmployeeRelations@catholicguardian.org. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
