Pros

- Very good onboarding experience and training. During your first weeks there, you will receive training on MacOS, Chromebooks, Sonicwalls, ConnectWise, RMM tools. There's a very defined employee onboarding structure at CTS that other companies really need to emulate. - Great bosses. Can't emphasize this enough. - Great culture, diversity, value, ethics, morals. Can't emphasize this enough. - The CEO is involved in the day to day. He's not your classic relax at the golf range kind of guy. The directors and C-levels in this company all talk and collaborate with each other. It shows. - Fantastic business growth in 2020, especially considering how many other MSP's struggled to cope with the changing environment. Employees were rewarded generously. - Unlike other MSP's, Charter Technology is service first, client first. I've never worked at another company where Service Desk staffing is so saturated. Clients are happy. And this makes it easier for others to make sales, focus on business growth, manage projects, billing, etc. - Documentation, procedures, workflows are very well defined, emphasized, and governed very strictly. Makes it easy to guarantee fast SD/NOC SLA's, and project turnaround times. - CTS's labeling game (both internally and client-facing) is on point. - Fantastic on-site face-to-face culture with clients. Very good Field Tech program. Client Managers also go on-site often. Office is often empty on summers and everyone's on-site. - Very strong office culture, everyone is encouraged to support each other. It's rare to ask for help and not receive it.

Cons

- All the free pizzas you get in the office will make you gain weight.

Pros

CTS is a family. A CTS family member will stand side by side with the team, march to the gates of hell, take over, and throw an after party. Whether the issue is professional, technical or personal the CTS family takes care of their own. Everyone who joins the CTS family is given only one thing - opportunity. Everything else is earned. A successful CTS family member, no matter which department or position in the org chart, exhibits the following qualities (more of a rant than an organized list): Self starter / Problem solver / Critical thinker / Dedicated to quality / Dedicated to client happiness / Sets aside ego / Works for the team, not self / Excellent communication / Receptive to feedback / Meets or beats set expectations / Maintains integrity Compensation, benefits, opportunities for career growth and the culture are top notch and have only gotten better. We also have hoodies.

Cons

During every interview process we make sure we mention our summers. Summers are hard. While everyone else is enjoying vacations and beaches we are hard at work building, upgrading, fixing and otherwise improving our clients' IT infrastructures. During the interviews, the interviewee always says 'I am not worried' or 'It's not as bad as you're making it out to be.' Everyone who got hired and worked through a summer admitted they were wrong. 100%. However they are getting better through improved and consolidated systems, automation and investment into the family members.

Pros

Working with over 40 schools in NYC, we get to do truly meaningful work and make a difference in the lives of thousands of kids and hundreds of educators. The team gels together wonderfully and enjoys working together. This is also a terrific place to start or continue an IT technical career due to the incredible variety of technology we deal with from core IT networking and WiFi to classroom robotics kits and Arduino managed farming.

Cons

Summer time, when nearly all schools do nearly all of their annual IT project work, is a grueling period. Vacations during the summer are difficult to take due to the work volume, and hours can be long. It's a necessary price we have to pay to be focused on the K-12 education market.
