Would Avoid If You Can

Car wash, gym, 3 cafes on campus, personal shipping, company store, and a new coffee bar on campus. New apparel President is good - excited to see what she will do.

Cons

CEO has a stick up her butt - thinks Chico’s is a luxury brand. Spoiler alert: it’s not. She’s not in touch with our customer. Constant threat of going private. Overwhelming workload and high turnover. In the four years I’ve been here, a buy cycle has not been completed without some sort of overhaul and change. Meetings about meetings. Very little work time. Condescending coworkers. Backwards way of merchandising and marketing approach. People would rather play the blame game than aid each other in fixing the brand. Every quarter we are rebranding ourselves. Every year we bring in an outside consultant group to tell us what’s wrong, then we ignore the results. No opportunities to move upwards. This place will be the death of your career.

Highly political workplace with constant change in management.

Good benefits,if you love beaches it is good place to live

Cons

Top Management has no idea on what they are doing,they talk big on strategies,but have hard time implementing them and some of them don’t even understand where they want to get to. Highly political workplace where there is constant blame game and people survive who are good in doing that.

Way too many promotions that were constantly changing, too much pressure and micro-managing from District management. Spent entirely too much time communicating with district manager instead of with customers. The company relies on the store staff to drive the business instead of them spending money advertising. Constant calling campaigns to customers, forced appt selling, unreasonable expectations.
