Pros

The check is still clearing

Cons

After Ciber was purchased by HTC Global the disrespect and uncaring of the employees started showing up. PTO is a joke, you are expected to take national holidays and client holidays which could get to 10 days out of your PTO 401 K seniority was promised but was reneged when the sale was finalized. Management or so called consultant managers are useless, they can't help, can't answer questions and not involved with the consultants. How are they going to do the annual reviews, if they happen and the manager doesn't know or have a clue what the consultant does. Unfortunately for most H1 consultants, they are stuck, but if this keeps happening and no resolution, there is always a way to get out.

Ciber is in trouble

Pros

I liked the people and enjoyed a decent work-life balance. I enjoyed many projects. Exposure to diverse technology ensured opportunity for a lot of skills. Ciber doesn't hide what it is - it's a cold, hard consulting company. It's up to you to maintain employment. They don't pretend to care - no training, no guarantees, no career path...that's on you. But they don't hide that fact either...you have to know what you're getting. It's a good and bad thing I suppose.

Cons

Always a concern that you would be on the bench or no follow-up project. The latest concern is that upper management doesn't know what the hell its doing: lacking focus on sales, debt out the wazoo (Wells Fargo), and arrogantly chasing ridiculous initiatives like a modernization product to end all products (Momentum). Upper management has arrogantly pursued ridiculous initiatives that are not panning out - and too foolish to pull out and cut their losses.
