Pros

Location. You can work from home when you need to.

Cons

There's no communication, not even within individual departments. Constructive criticism is not welcome, as it would be an insult. It is decided from day one if you are welcome in the "in crowd". If you are not part of the "inner circle", management will make it known and you will be ostracized and will be out in 6 months.

Drama, Drama, Drama.

Pros

Location, flexible work hours, usually the company picks up lunch every month for everyone.

Cons

The culture literally is focused around drama. Many people (especially HR) generate issues/drama and watch the ripple effects flow throughout the employee population. Trust is a huge issue, everyone has a hidden agenda is out for themselves. Nothing you say within the building is truly confidential, plan on every word out of your mouth being used against you later down the road. It's honestly very similar to the fall of the Roman Empire. The company is in dire shape, and the upper administration team is living the high life while your lower level employees are stuck working extra hours and getting laid off.

Company has lots to learn

Pros

With the RIGHT supervisor, lots can be learned about the overall contracting processes (proposals, bidding, etc.), business development, and similar details. The company is pretty good with paying for training and certs. The new CEO, Alba is great (super enthusiastic but still great) and has the best intentions. She's somewhat clueless about the inner-workings of contracts but she's serving as a PM so hopefully she'll get back in touch and out of that "CEO" mindset. It's a shame because most everyone enjoys her ideas but she's kinda made fun of behind closed doors. Offers flexible work schedules.

Cons

LOTS of cliques, comparable to high school cliques. If you're in, you're safe but if you're not, don't expect job security. Upper management is the primary promoter of such cliques. Nobody is loyal to the company or CEO, they're loyal to individuals.
