The mission on paper is incredible providing affordable, essential medications to those in need is a cause worth fighting for. Some frontline employees are dedicated, resilient, and truly care about their work. You’ll learn how much you’re capable of enduring, but unfortunately, not in a good way.
Cons
Disrespectful, toxic leadership: Upper management often talks down to employees, throwing degrees and titles in their faces rather than offering support or respect. There is no effort to build people up for success just a “figure it out” mentality, no matter how complex the task. Complete lack of care: The people at the top the ones running the site are careless, disconnected, and reckless in their leadership approach. The mission is beautiful, but it’s heartbreaking to see it led by people who care more about saying “we did it first” than about doing it right. No work-life balance, no appreciation: People give their all long hours, constant effort and still, it’s never enough. Instead of recognition, you’re met with micromanagement and arbitrary process improvement plans. Misplaced accountability: You’ll be held responsible for goals and tasks that aren’t even yours, often dumped on you after sitting untouched for months. Your concerns will be ignored, and your voice silenced. Incompetent management in key areas: Leadership in areas like warehouse operations clearly lack the skills to run them properly. Instead of addressing that, other site leaders use them as placeholders, puppeting them along until they retire. No adherence to procedures: In controlled environments where GMP, cleanliness, and safety standards should be strict like no makeup, no nail polish people routinely ignore the rules with zero consequences. Horrible benefits and contracts: Benefits are subpar compared to industry standards. And whatever you do, do not sign a contract you will be locked into a role that drains you mentally, emotionally, and physically. Zero career growth: This company will not help your career. The most you’ll get out of it is a line on your résumé and the relief of moving on. It is not even a good stepping stone.
