Pros

Diversity is celebrated & respected. The Cleveland Clinic has been successful by creating wellness advocates in their employees. The majority of the employees are happy or satisfied with their work environment and feel that the organization cares about their wellbeing. The internal system (HR talent management, Complete Wellness of the mind, body and soul, our dining choices) the company knows we spend more time at work than at home and the main campus is had truly become a great work environment.

Cons

As an employee, the financial challenges in the US healthcare system has been hard to handle (e.g., healthcare reform). Out of 3 of the largest healthcare systems, Cleveland Clinic remains the most conservative.

Pros

Mortgage of the workloads are caring and very helpful, there are a few rude ones that have special privileges, but that's expected anywhere you go. All reps are very friendly and helpful when you need help.

Cons

Management doesnt care about reps, just about bottom line numbers. They expect reps to have H..E.A.R.T for patients but they have no heart for us.

Pros

-1 hr lunch break- clinic side/ 15/30 min- hospital side -Flexibility for RN's to move from hospital side to clinic side (I opted for clinic side bc i wanted to work from 8- 5 only and no weekends) -The campus grounds are maintained well (It was nice to get out the building to de-stress) -Drug free facility (you never see employees smoking in front of the building; occasionally there may be a patient or visitor smoking). -Such horrible conditions in terms of management, staff, patient care provided, and how the organization is governed that it motivated me to leave and start my own business.

Cons

Very biased management; if they do not like you- they will do everything they can to make sure you do not advance to higher positions- highly unprofessional and illegal to not judge based on an individual's merit. Clinic side- you will hear employees, which include managers, physicians and staff talking about other employees regarding topics that range from discrimination based on a persons sexual orientation, ability or lack of ability to perform the job, personal matters of individuals, and even shedding negative light on Cleveland Clinic as an organization, etc. Very bad for NEW EMPLOYEES to hear such things before they even reach their 90 day probationary period. I was very candid on the employee engagement (survey that allows employees to review their employer and organization), talking to management/director/HR, and CCF still remained a toxic environment to work in. *I got a verbal warning for clocking in late (never more than 10 min late) by my manager who came in an hour to an hour and a half late most times. (Guess being in management is the place to be when no one watches what they do). Some obviously discriminating employees that management knew about and did nothing about. There should be a ZERO tolerance policy, esp in healthcare, for discrimination and this should be instilled in every employee!
