Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to leave some feedback here! It's really awesome to hear that your experience at Code3 on the whole was a positive one. On the org structure, your feedback makes sense - there were pockets in which communication could have cascaded differently, and we are working to do better there. Appreciate your candor and we wish you all the best! -Amy

Pros

- Some really great clients and a lot of exposure to all forms of paid social and other digital channels - Cool office spaces with fun in-office perks - Solid PTO package - Some very talented people still at the company who can teach you a lot

Cons

- Over the past year, an alarmingly high number of important individuals have left the company. This has created a large void between Sr Leadership and what is happening with the day-to-day - Many times you do not know that a Team Lead, Director, or even Sr Director are leaving until the week of which leads to a scramble for staffing - Lack of clear career progression. Many individuals who have been here for a year + are unsure of what their career path looks like or if they can truly grow long-term - Many promotions are passed over for external hires which causes people who know processes, tools, clients, reps to leave the organization - Strangely rigid HR processes that have made individuals feel undercompensated or made the exit process easier as managers have no ability to keep their top performers who may receive external offers - Work life balance is not a thing. Many individuals work on 3+ brands, manage 4+ people, work with reps on every major platform, and launch dozens of campaigns a week. There is currently no structure in place to allow individuals to deep-dive into their client work or disconnect during "off" hours - Lack of urgency from Sr Leadership as Code3 has tried to get things back on track with all of the departures and life post-COVID

Pros

Learn/work for big brands. Depending on your team, you have some of the best coworkers.

Cons

Burn out is real. I was ready to file medical leave during the pandemic but my director told me to just take a day off to recharge... So from my experience, they do not care about your personal well-being unless you’re one of their favorites. Speaking of favorites, senior leadership LOVE to promote them because they only see THEIR wins and brush everyone else under the rug. The favorites are basic everyday people and bring no other talent to the team because literally everyone does the same job from Associate up to Senior Account Manager. Don’t even get me started with the senior leadership team. They don’t even deserve a review because they literally do nothing. Lastly, they will gaslight you. Don’t take it to heart, know you’re a rock star and apply anywhere else but here. Unless you have tough skin, buckle up and get ready for an intense ride.

Pros

I worked at Code3 for just under three years and genuinely enjoyed my time at the company. I learned so much from my manager and bonded with my team, forming friendships that will last well beyond my time at the company. I left mainly because I felt like I had reached my potential and there wasn't much more I could do to grow in my role & because I received an offer that I knew Code3 could not reasonably match. The people at Code3 are what makes it a great place to work. I loved coming to work each day and getting to collaborate with such fun, smart people. Had it not been for my amazing team, I do not know if my experience would have been as stellar. Code3 makes a great effort to recognize good work, giving out gift cards worth hundreds of dollars, incentive gifts from clients, shoutouts, etc. The effort to improve morale is definitely there – whether it is successful or not is a different story.

Cons

After rebranding from SocialCode to Code3, I felt that the entire team struggled to create morale internally and people would often complain or feel like leadership did not understand their needs. My team specifically was insulated from a lot of the office politics, but we still struggled with getting help from HR when we had issues with management. Management and leadership specifically felt very disorganized and chaotic, with roles and team leadership positions changing constantly. It often felt like no one knew what they were doing and they just made things up as they went along and hiring new leadership roles without understanding why or making sure that their roles were useful.

Pros

Had start up perks in the office (ping pong table, catering etc).

Cons

The managers were a hot mess. My manager barely trained me on anything, I had to bring my work home to catch up/teach myself everything which is seems odd as someone who is an office manager. So much stress and disorganization that almost all the employees were constantly burnt out.
