Frisco -- A better clinic than others, weak management

Pros

Calm environment for staff and kids, decent pay (not great), very nice clinic, great RBTs, wonderful speech and occupational therapy staff

Cons

Typical for clinics, kids are kept there all day as insurance-paid childcare with not enough intensive practice (their days should be half as long), weak management with poor communication skills although very knowledgable, expensive health insurance ($200 a month is cheapest), HR is through an external third party and is non-responsive to communications challenging mgmt decisions; behavior team and the rest of the clinic use different work chats so communication during hours are not the best

Pros

Patients are great, supervisors are doing a great job working out kinks and listening to techs more.

Cons

A lot of inner drama since it’s a mostly female-led field. The job is very mentally and physically taxing.
