Pros

Decent pay, tech training, discounts, insurance. Not physically demanding at all.

Cons

constantly dealing with unhappy customers some of which are verbally abusive. customers unwilling to troubleshoot. They don't want to even verify the account. All these things lead to time wasted trying to do your job and all management cares about is metrics. They want you off each call in a short time and you get in trouble if you don't meet those metrics. That causes other tech support reps to hang up on the customers so they call you angry and you have to deal with it. You may have to put them on hold to call a tech in another area and wait on hold for 6 minutes only to have them answer and hang up intentionally. So your metrics get thrown completely off and it's somehow your fault. Physically easy job that's not bad but all these things make it unbearable and will wear most people down. Not worth the stress.
