Pros

Lots of experience. A little better than minimum wage.

Cons

They play favorites, promote awful people, have supervisors that have only a modicum of working knowledge in the field you're expected to work like a dog in and when they actually have to help can't do the job you do.

Pros

Providing care for individuals who can't care for themselves is a rewarding experience. It's a great job for someone who has kids, or wants to have kids, because it provides valuable training and preparation for taking care of those who can't care for themselves.

Cons

During my time there, the current supervisor didn't have the experience as a direct care professional, so he didn't understand the work required of us. He no longer works there, but neither do I so I don't know what's changed since he left.
