      Pros

      Great supervisor and co-worker relationships with lots of support. Lots of trainings provided regularly to help you perform your job well.

      Cons

      Upper management has unrealistic protocols that are inconvenient in practice, especially regarding creation and review of treatment plans. Shifts were long 10 hours, and the facility was regularly short-staffed.

      Pros

      Helping individuals who are physically and developmentally challenged with their ADLs and achieve the desired goals. Administer medications, take them for appointments and shopping among other outings. Advocate for them since they cannot do it themselves.

      Cons

      There are times when they succumb to illness and have to be transferred to more appropriate facility like a nursing home or hospice, this has never gone down well with me because of the past experiences where many of my clients have passed on after being transferred to those facilities.
