Pros

There are willing ears around that will help you climb the career level if you know how to play the game. Change to touch a huge variety of technology A great starting place for anyone willing to dive into IT

Cons

This is a good ol' boys organization. Run by good ol' boys, for good ol' boys. Benefits are terrible and decline in quality every year in an attempt to save money Pay is in par with market values. Unfortunately, job titles rarely match the descriptions for the positions offered.

Pros

Good company to get exposure through. They have very good benefits in the form of vacation days and are very good with their expense coverage. I've never had an issue with them paying for trips they've sent me for. Health insurance benefits are fairly weak but the vision benefits are incredible.

Cons

In the four years I've been with the company they have never offered a raise. They have also systematically avoided reviews. The one holiday bonus we were given was a fifteen dollar gift card to Amazon.com.

I received a two-week severance package, after I was "released" from the contract they had with a large, hardware retailer (I was a full-time, W-2 employee, of CompuCom), but I received no warning, whatsoever, of my "involuntary departure," which came as a TOTAL surprise to me!

Cons

Not once, in nearly 2 and 1/2 years, did I ever meet my supervisor, in person! Also, most of my fellow technicians, in our area, felt he was totally incompetent, which proved to be the case (he is also no longer with the company, to the best of my knowledge)! Also, I received NO raise or bonus, of any kind, after working for them (on this contract) for more than two years, even though I received numerous accolades, from various managers at the retail stores I serviced!
