Pros

Independent work environment, quarterly bonuses, Management is willing to assist with any difficulties that may arise. Depending on your personality you can rise up and lead but you have to make the effort. Ownership, follow through and proper communication skills are key components in order to make an impact and be noticed. Don't be scared of Management. Go to dinner and spend as much time as you can with Management when they are in town!

Cons

No raises for quite a while, Certain internal processes can be cumbersome. In particular the internal asset management system. Understaffed sites struggle with added work loads and outdated process measuring procedures.

Pros

This is a great place to work for those who have a passion about working in Recruiting and Information Technology. Compucom works with some of the biggest technology companies in the world. This is great for people who are actively looking for work because these companies always have openings because of growth and they pay their contractors very well. The culture of Compucom is one that is fun, rewarding, and challenging. You have a team lead and a great group of colleagues who will help you along the way. When you begin training, you are paired up with veterans who will show you the tips and tricks of what makes them successful. There are very little meetings you need to attend weekly so you have a good amount of time to spend on the phone networking and connecting with candidates. Compucom gives you all of the tools to be successful as a Recruiter. They even have an HR team and Resource Management team so you are the front line and don't have to work a full desk. The team atmosphere is great as people really enjoy what they do and they celebrate successes. No one is intimidating in the office as open dialogue is encouraged. If you are looking for work in IT, odds are there is a position that matches what you are looking for. The companies are respected clients and contractors are eligible for benefits from day one if they choose so and can get a free Orca card in the Seattle area which is pretty cool. If you like a good work atmosphere, a good challenge, good food, good people and good clients to put people to work at, then Compucom is a good choice. I can honestly go home at the end of the day and say I made a difference and that is what matters most.

Cons

Like any company, there can be office drama sometimes. Tune yourself out of it and you will be fine.

Pros

I am able to Telecommute. I have had great immediate supervisors. I have some flexibility in my hours. I have great co-workers

Cons

Since the members of my team are dedicated resources for our client, we cannot get raises without having the client pay for them. We have limited opportunities for advancement.

Pros

Clients offer opportunity to work in high tech environments

Cons

Corporate culture is dismal and completely detached from the reality of the associates. Doomed to fail unless radical course corrections are made.

Pros

Casual work environment, freedom to grow, decent insunance

Cons

Lack of organization. Snap decisions made by managemnt that often had bad unforeseen effects. No performance evaluations or raise schedule. Your work environment would frequently change over the wekend to something unrecogizable. In Bentonville, business was 98% based on Wal Mart, who would frequently change course in mid stream, make demands outside of signed agreements, and get their way with threats.

Pros

Experience, environment and accrued time. You learn a lot if you apply yourself. Vacation time, PTO etc are fantastic as well. Certifications are paid for, if you can find time to do tham or get approved for them.

Cons

NO RAISES, no compensation, NO RAISES. Training is terrible, there is no incentive to perform daily duties. NO RAISES The ever changing policies combines with the lack of training makes for a very backwards work environment.

Pros

Good work environment. Close to home and will pay for cert's and education reimbursement. Great PTO package. Start in the door earning 3wks/ yr.

Cons

Forget about a raise. Contractor model means they have to bid low to get the contract. That means they can't pay anything, and wage freezes, (currently going on 3 years) and 401K matches are low if not cancelled. Will ask you to take job promotion, but no pay increase.

Pros

My tenure with CompuCom started strong, but after a couple of years, meh. The benefits were actually ok. Many valuable discounts with various vendors and the health savings account is a brilliant way to pay for healthcare if you're relatively healthy like most people are.

Cons

Negotiate your best salary upfront because you'll be stuck with it for a long time. It was not unusual for people...particularly minorities...to be subjected to a hostile work environment. Unless you're a brown nosing pet pig, management can be very difficult for no reason. The organization was very flat. Additionally, there was no opportunity for training, development, or personal growth.
