Good and bad

Pros

People that I worked with were generally very helpful , happy/ nice people. Most managers in the location were helpful good people. I could not get an answer to a normal question from the Atlanta office (they are hidden away behind a locked door - hostile) where I worked yet this question was answered in a few seconds by the New York head office.

Cons

Training was crap and the so called trainer was more interested in telling personal stories. After training if you asked him a question he would say ' We went over this 100 times already' and be angry yet if he did not know something he would ask someone senior to him. Terrible pay with silly procedures which is why they are constantly hiring as people are leaving.

Turn Quick and Runaway Fast......!!!!

Pros

There were none. Company is all about the bottom line even at the expense of its integrity or employees/contractors.

Cons

For about 30 seconds, I thought this would be a great opportunity. Office is right down in the heart of the financial district in NYC with amazing views of the city. It ends there. I have never in my career been worked so hard with so little recognition. It's definitely a "what have you done for me lately" type of company. Employees turn over so quickly that you barely get their names before they are gone. I would say I am not sure how they've been in business as long as they have except part of the way they do is to welch on their agreements with contractors by finding legal loop holes or establishing vague deliverables. Quotas are routinely changed in favor of the company when somebody comes close to meeting them. I was a full time employee and never felt "part of the company". Instead attendance and hours were very closely monitored (down to the minute) despite that most there are seasoned professionals. BTW.... benefits don't kick in for 3 months and you are not eligible for 401k until after a year.

CHEAP, IN EVERY MEANING OF THE WORD

Pros

It's difficult to think of 20 words for the PRO side of this experience. PROS: Nice downtown location Generally friendly and helpful coworkers Helps to know that everyone is in the same boat Always a paycheck

Cons

PRESIDENT/CEO: He likes to tout little or no hierarchy, but on the flip side, decisions are bottle necked by him. He is the final word about everything -- and his concern is always the bottom line -- he cares little about efficient process, and generally believes he can do your job better than you can. President/CEO is gruff and condescending, leaves employees feeling stifled and stressed. Employees of all levels trip over themselves to please him but the feeling of being on the chopping block always lingers through the air. Pres/CEO loves to say this is a entrepreneurial company, if that mean stingy and unimaginative, then that's about right. CONS: You see real potential in projects and people, but upward mobility is mostly non-existent Company grows through acquisition only, no organic growth For a tech company, equipment and software are outdated, old, and often break down Pay is on the low side of the market, no periodic increases (always talk of raise freeze) Bonuses to upper management only Insurance benefits are lacking and very expensive to employees, other benefits dismal Shirt and tie EVERY day, no casual Fridays Attendance often taken at the door, no flexibility in working hours, no remote work, no summer hours Not supportive of ongoing training and furthering education Frequent turnover, motivated and quality employees leave quickly Constant talk about big future plans but nothing really happens Employees asked to contribute positive Glassdoor reviews because of current low %
