Pros

They do recognize a well-done job. I have received a couple of awards in the last several years that involved a monetary bonus, a placque, and a certificate. They also did pay for some technical training that allowed me to acheive a certification.

Cons

As a contractor, you survive at the whim of the client - pay cuts are normal. I've taken 2 pay cuts and one forced unpaid week per quarter in the last five years. There are few, if any, opportunities to improve your position. Morale among the people I work around is at an all-time low, due to the repeated pay cuts. Many of us are making less now that we were seven years ago, doing even more work with more responsibilities

Pros

One of the better body shops. At least has paid overtime, proper benefits and 50% 401k match whereas some others don't even have any of these.

Cons

Staffing workers who are vendors at client sites are largely at the mercy of client billing rates; don't expect a raise ever; - in fact, expect a cut if the client cuts billing rates.

Pros

* If you have the skills needed, they will hire you

Cons

* You will only be paid 3/4 or less of what your worth - this is because they are bound by the hired corporation salary agreement to pay CTG for each hired contractor that CTG hires and nothing more. For example, the corporation that you will end up working for will pay CTG $150K a year. You will only get paid $75K a year or less. The rest of these dollars goes to CTG so they can stay in business * CTG does not provide yearly employee reviews - You will not get a yearly review to discuss your contributions, accomplishments, etc * CTG does not provide yearly pay increases or bonuses - For (9) years, I received not one pay increase or bonus while working as a top contributor for the company that I was hired to work for * CTG does not treat their employees fairly as regular corporate employees are treated - When regular (non-CTG employees) are given paid personal time off with pay, as a CTG employee, you will have to use a vacation day or take a day without pay or just work on that day when others have the day off with pay
