Pros

Coworkers are pretty chill. No one tyies to steal your sale or anything like that.

Cons

All the shadiness. Because of all the metrics that we are required to hit, there have been times where we add thing like insurance onto people's lines without them knowing. Also even if a customer is looking for a phone that we have 10 of, if they don't want any accessories or anything then we tell them that we don't have any. Hate having to lie to customer's faces. Also if you don't meet a specific metric, they don't pay your compensation, though i believe that's more of a T-Mobile thing then CS.

Really hate to hear the experience and integrity issues you are having. That is totally against our code of conduct and how we treat each other or our customers. I would appreciate more detail on this. We have an open door policy so hit up HR or you can hit me up at jason@connectivitysource.net Thank you.

Pros

Big (old) reputation Competitive comp Plan for Rep/RSM Flexible scheduling Many eyes on validation of Ops and sales Expenses paid annual trip

Cons

Lack of positive reinforcement and recognition Good ol’ boys club Lack of: moral support, knowledge base structure, inventory adjustment protection for multi-unit leadership, maintenance and operational knowledge or support. Gross Profit-based DM comp Plan, earning potential has a large gap of disparity Micro-management Favoritism to higher profiting market leaders Comfortable asking employees to go above and beyond without returning the same. Majority emails asking for validation without actual assistance with issues resulting in reduced engagement to those emails, resulting in additional griping and complaining from incompetent or potentially lazy back office employees Make believe departments like Strategic Development and Innovation that produce not nearly enough value for employees.

Thank you for your perspective. Employees should always feel supported and nurtured and our leadership recognizes that. Which is why in our mantra (that you left out) states" with our employees" in it. Employees outgrowing their positions (Hopefully we do to internal promotions!), lay offs due to Location Rationalization (unfortunate) and losing employees due to not meeting Performance Expectations (necessity) are all a part of our business. We take any losses in those regards seriously. If you do have any issues, we always have an open door policy - not sure who you reached out to or when it was but would love to hear you out. You can call me at (832)368-7546 or feel free to reach out to our HR Team. HR@connectivitysource.net. It is not fair to judge certain departments or roles because you do not see everything they do or understand it all. Our back office team works incredibly hard to support and lift up our employees - many of them have come from working in a store and have grown with us! Very sorry it did not work out for you but there are avenues if you would like to discuss anything with us. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Pretty relaxed environment, casual dress

Cons

The commission structure of this company is among the lowest in all retail cell phone sales. They have removed the bottom several rungs of the commission ladder intentionally. If you fail to hit a minimum goal all of your commissioned new activations will not be paid out. This model along with their spiff-based incentivizing model creates a massive disparity between busier stores and slower stores. The hourly rate and wages are somewhat competitive but considering their lower commission structure should be higher. The automatic raises are a fantastic idea but the amount of profit needed to trigger the automatic rays is excessively high especially for low volume store employees. Only one week of paid vacation per year is kind of a joke these days. I know that most people after a year get two to three weeks even working in fast food. And don't even get me started on the healthcare benefits the company they use is easily one of the worst, the best year of package has an absurdly high deductible and the insurance company itself will try everything they can to not pay for even basic preventative doctor visits. And you better hope you don't have to go to the emergency room because the first $5,000 of that is coming straight out of your pocket.
