No upward mobility, chronyism, dishonest "bonus" as a part of salary, offshoring of engineering services, decliining customer base to more efficient and better run competitors. Product line has few unique attributes that can't be better produced by other companies.

Management (ELC) gets in the way of progress and growth Stifilng of regional management to conform to a National model which doesn't work, since engineering/construction markets are regional. Nationalization has alienated customers and compromised product quality. Inability of management to embrace 21st Century "Consultative Selling" of highly engineered systems and "Value Added" approach to customers. Pressure to conform to Corporate initiatives for performance metrics, such as number of calls per week and reporting, rather than letting the sales numbers speak for success. Company let too many good people go without realizing how poorly they would be missed and how underappreciated they were.
