Pros

Ideal for college students or those with another part time or fulltime job. There is a great deal of flexibility where you get to completely make your own schedule as long as you work at least 16 hours a week. They're open from 8am to 10pm during the week and sometimes on the weekends depending on call volume, so it's very easy to make a schedule that works for you.

Cons

Pay starts at minimum wage and can increase if you're extremely productive, but it's difficult to reach the threshold of productivity that ensures higher pay. The break policy is terrible. If you log out for more than 2 or 3 minutes, you're locked out for 30 minutes. So no going to the bathroom unless you schedule it before hand (who does that?), no checking your phone if there's an emergency going on, none of that.

Pros

The hours are somewhat flexible. You set your schedule and it repeats every week, but if you wanna change it you have to do it a week plus ahead of time and if you need to change it due to an emergency you have to ask permission and it will usually be denied unless a family member died.

Cons

Terrible Micro-management You have three minutes for a break or you're up for a half hour. Windowless room where you're not allowed to speak and you don't interact with anybody, just put on headphones and type what you hear. If you stop typing, you stop getting paid and will go "on break" so if you stop typing for more than a few minutes, you'll be there an extra half hour. The shift leaders don't really care about you and will be super condescending. The pay is terrible, absolutely terrible. The people are weirdly clique-ish, or creepy (especially if you are a girl), and like spreading drama.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We're very sorry to see that your experience working with us has left you with a negative view of the company. Let's discuss the issues you mentioned. - Scheduling: If employees are good about following scheduling policies, allowances can be made for emergencies if properly communicated. For late requests without documentation (doctor's note, etc), we also ask that the hours be made up within the week. - Management team: A lot of changes have been made in the management staff and structure in the different offices over the last few years, and we apologize for any issues you may have had with previous members of management. - Socialization: We realize that production-based jobs don't lend well to getting to know your co-workers, so each office has been putting a lot of work into giving employees more opportunity to interact and do fun activities together. - Pay: Our production-based compensation model is competitive for each office's location, and everyone has the same opportunity to earn up to $13/hour through hitting Enhanced Pay metrics. - Break policy: Each member of management has the ability to make exceptions to the break policy when appropriate and within reason.

Pros

- Great flexibility with scheduling of hours. You make your own schedule and can work from 16-40 hours a week. - Hitting certain production and quality benchmarks gives you small raises (although the old production based system was far more incentivizing and productive).

Cons

- Ridiculous break policy requires that you take full 30 minute break each time time you get up, before being allowed to log back in....meaning if you use the bathroom just twice, that adds an entire hour to your shift that you must finish. - Pay structure is disincentivizing. Scribes (and especially QA's) are undervalued and underpaid, compared to other transcription industry positions.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We're happy to hear that you at least enjoyed our unparalled scheduling flexibility and we would like to discuss your complaints about the break policy and compensation model. We're sorry that these issues have left you with a negative view of working with us and that you feel that you cannot recommend us. Every member of management has the ability to make exceptions on the break policy at their discretion and within reason, although we do encourage that you plan your time wisely and take 30 minute breaks when necessary. Our pay model is competitive for each office's location, especially since everyone has the option to make up to $13/hour by hitting the Enhanced Pay metrics.
