Pros

PTO Office location in Empire State Building Well known (but rapidly declining) brands

Cons

Every single consumer beauty brand is in decline Hyper micromanagement Short term tactical decisions encouraged with severe lack of clear long term vision and strategy A lot of people in leadership positions who don’t have a clue what they’re doing but are great at convincing people they do Blame culture High turn over and extremely low morale How can you inspire your team to climb the mountain ahead and turn around the ship when they’re stuck working long hours answering to the never ending last minute leadership requests, with the most unreasonable timelines? The current way of working drives a culture of frenzy, panic and a lot of bandaid fixes without allowing any proper work to be done in setting up brands for long term success.

Pros

-Summer Fridays -Brand Portfolio -Office Location

Cons

Coty was at a much better place before the merger. Since then every aspect of the company seems to be getting worse by the day. -Lack of communication which leads to duplicated work -Zero strategy -Constant urgent projects and emails -Terrible systems -No training or onboarding process -Extremely high turn over rate -Highly unprofessional leadership Upper management in my division leaves little to be desired. Their vision changes daily, they have no direction, and are just terrible people overall. The merger has indeed been a tough one, but that is no excuse for leadership to treat their employees disrespectfully. One of the directors screams in his teams faces and threatens to fire them if they don't do a project. The SVP holds once a month pep rallies, making statements such as "we're a team; we're in this together" yet in reality promotes a "you should be grateful to even have a job here" culture. This all in turn has produced a very toxic work environment with an extremely low employee morale. I truly believe that this will be a great company to work for in a few years but at the moment it is too chaotic.

Pros

Great Benefits. Up until recently ( last 2 years) everyone was working towards the same goals and objectives and collaborated as a team. Yes of course there was complaining here and there but in the end we all made it happen!

Cons

Coty no longer values it's resources, only the bottom line. Whole departments are being eliminated and as a result required tasks are not being carried out due to "lack of resources"
