      Great Company, dated attitude and systems

      Pros

      This company provides great opportunities and possible international exposure. The 9/80 work schedule is very nice and benefits and salaries are comparable.

      Cons

      The building, management and systems are all very dated. There is a big focus on the VPs and executives, but the thick working level seems to be forgotten at times. Systems are very, very old and cause many manual work arounds and inefficiencies.

      I work in the transportation business unit in business develeopment and my work experience has been good or very good.

      Pros

      - Collegues are very helpful and the work environment in general is very friendly and respectful - The company in the transport business does exciting projects, for example in London. The business in general is very projec oriented. - The work-life balance is good in general. However, there are times when you have to work hard and long hours especially when you deliver projects that are running late. - The company does a lot to communicate internal initiatives and projects accross the company so that everybody is aware of what is going on in other parts of the business - Senior management, especially MDs, in general set clear goals and manage the company well in my view. Most senior managers are very knowledgable as they have been working for the company for many years.

      Cons

      The company is very risk averse in terms of new products innovations that are funded by the company. Compensation is ok and I suppose average for the transportation industry. Compensations in the transport sector in general are not great though.

      Pros

      9/80 workweek and competitive pay. Having that one Friday off is really a pleasure. Since Cubic has a global presence you also have the ability to gain international experience.

      Cons

      Everything about this company is extremely dated, from the technology systems they use to the office buildings and decor. Feels like an old person's gentleman club without anything nice. Lack's in benefits such as corporate events.
