Depending on the team/department, the work can be kind of boring.

Absolutely worst Network Engineering Team Lack of team spirit - There are no team members in here. You're asked to manage everything without much help and coordination with anybody Lack of proper documenation - If there's a new deployment, you're on your own to figure out things from the scratch. No sense of direction for the top management - They just announced saying there won't be any layoffs for this financial year when I joined and voila, they had to lay off hundreds of employees in the same financial year down the line after 5-6 months. People are walking away with abundant amount of knowledge and there's no support system when a new employee joins in. Solutions architects, Senior Managers & a bunch of engineers across the board are quite experienced and are in the system from the last 10 years or so. They're the one's who are calling the shots and nobody else is even cared.
