Good company with lots of opportunities

Pros

Good team with lots of people enthusiastic about their work. Travel opportunities. Encouraged to do extra training and certification. Company values equality/equal opportunities. I found my work was highly recognised (awards nonimations, etc) and have had great mentoring. Most offices have adopted flexible work policies now.

Cons

Atmosphere/socialisation varied by office site, I found some were less enjoyable than others. Some projects include working with employees in other countries, so to talk to them calls outside of normal office hours are needed. Lots of new projects at the moment, so can be busy.

Pros

You get to interact with some interesting customers, and you have to take all of your accrued leave. If you like taking vacations you get 4.5 weeks of them.

Cons

If you are on a contract you only get paid 89% of your salary, you are then forced to take your vacation or leave without pay. I have been told leave without pay is a benefit. Every year your vacation is paid out, so in the company's mind you get your full salary. They underbid their contracts and pass the savings onto the employee. Your customer just thinks you like not coming to work, it's a lose lose system for the employee. There is little to no communication from management, just smoke and mirrors. This place just scams it's employee's. Stay far away. Unless you like being under worked and always being told you are over your hours.

Pros

Flexible work-schedules including 980 every other Friday off. Laid back work environment. Interesting work, without outstanding co-workers. Great place to work.

Cons

None that I can think of. Recently acquired by Cubic, but little has changed internally. Hopefully, Cubic maintains the same atmosphere and benefits.
