Pros

Used to be Job security but that is now gone. Competes in lower end of automotive industry benefits wise

Cons

They are tasked with reducing headcount by 30%. They are taking away benefits and essentially creating a war of attrition to get people to leave. Then they are not hiring in replacements and expecting existing associates to take on the work with no pay increase. (double the work for same pay)

Pros

-Loyal organization to its employees with great benefits -High job security -Career advancement for those willing to create their own path (don’t expect a ‘red carpet’ for a path to promotion) -Solid opportunity to try new things and utilize creativity, but you must seek it out proactively

Cons

-Inconsistency in corporate vision vs how to execute (reliance on ‘bottom up’ approach in principle but no resources to convert to action) -Pace of change is slow, but is needed urgently -Analysis paralysis can become highly frustrating
