We conduct market research to ensure our staff is compensated at or above market rates for their specific career experience, including a cost area factor for each of our locations. There have been several instances where we’ve offered new employees more than they requested based on our market research. I encourage you to discuss this with your supervisor so they can collaborate with our total rewards manager to ensure your compensation is on target. It may also be a good time to discuss your progress in your current position and what it takes get the next level of responsibility and corresponding salary.

Pros

I was compensated well, I never had to ask about wage increases as they always gave me fair increases. Overall good work/life balance.

Cons

Could use some development of the culture within the office.

Thank you for your comment. I am glad you were compensated fairly and were able to enjoy a good work/life balance. Since we have so many offices, it’s hard to make a comment about the culture of the office since every office is a little different, however we are working with the People Department, office managers, and market sector leaders to put an emphasis on culture and people. We strive for an environment where people feel welcomed and included and their career is developed. We also want to celebrate each other’s successes and enjoy the company of the people we spend so much time with.

Pros

DOWL did a great job of setting goals and achieving them. I also always felt that I was paid well and I never had to request a salary raise.

Cons

I think DOWL could invest more into training staff, especially for managers in areas of leadership. I've learned since how leading others is much more than making sure their work is done, but also entails developing team members among other things. Training for up and coming leaders could also be hugely beneficial.
