Pros

friendly assistant GM but GM's could use SOME training.

Cons

More Cons than pros Place is falling apart and GM's FAIL to keep up with or spend money into its environment. This building as right in center of 6 hotels and looks the most run down. YES, their rates are low and they use the reference ( You get what you pay for) an understatement. Staff is wonderful here but without the proper management and franchise owners this is a POS.

Pros

Job Security is good. Work Environment after training is good. Basic employee job duties are not over-bearing. Management is ok to work for overall. Paid Vacation.

Cons

Pay is terrible. No health insurance. No paid sick days. No real scheduling is offered until day before new week starts. Boss can be hard to work for if it's not done exactly his way.

Pros

The downtown Baltimore location offered some of the best benefits I've ever had.

Cons

High turnover is a problem. Mostly due to lower than average pay but there is also a problem with management forgoing proper training in favor of micromanaging staff. Also, being that it is a small business there aren't any opportunities to advance.

Pros

Enhance customer service skills Can study at front desk when no one is around Workplace is being monitored by cameras = feel more safe working alone (managers can remotely monitor when they are not on duty) Flexibility in schedule

Cons

Work alone (safety issues) Different treatments between "regular" and "new" guests require some memorization Guest might "hit on you" when you are alone Confronting guest if they have damaged the room can be difficult because deposit will not be returned Guest might argue with you on pricing (some might even yell) A little bit above minimum wage ($12 @ Year 2017) Can feel discouraged by management because of close monitoring on camera and they expect you to know everything with the little training they have provided
