Pros

Demandforce strikes the right balance between too much and not-enough management. I am largely left to myself to do my job but when I need help, the senior team is always available. Our product works exceptionally well for our customers and I feel good helping our customers succeed with their businesses.

Cons

Cash compensation is on the low side but that is typical of startup companies in high-growth mode. No match on 401k yet.

Pros

Working at Demandforce has really changed my outlook on having a career in sales and has showed me that you absolutely can love your job each and every day. I feel like everything I do really does contribute to the success and growth of the company. We have gone through such an amazing growth spurt over the past couple of years, and yes there has been some growing pains here and there, but in no way did that ever outweigh the fact that this company treats their employees as if they appreciate every single one of them. They make you want to work hard because that hard work is actually rewarded, not like other sales jobs I have had where my managers reaped all the benefits and got paid the commission I had earned. Yes, as a new account executive (or even lead gen), cold-calling can be a big part of your day. This is very typical for most sales jobs - the reps who are on the phone the most are generally the highest billers on the team. Over time, and with a lot of hard work and territory development that is not only supported by our corporate trainers but by our management team as well, its very possible for every sales rep to have a channel that is humming and profitable. We do not just "hire people just as easily as we fire them". I cannot even tell you how many people we interview for sales reps on a weekly basis and how few of them actually make it onto the team. Our goal when hiring is to hire someone who will be not only successful but that will also contribute to the growth of the company and is looking for advancement. A lot of work is put into training our sales reps, and do not want that work to go to waste. Plus, you get to wear jeans and flip flops to work if you want to. How awesome is that????

Cons

At this point, I can honestly say I do not dislike anything about working for Demandforce.

Encouraging Environment

Pros

Although I'm pretty young, I've worked at quite a few places. Demandforce is by far the best place I have ever worked. We're actually voted one of the best places to work in the bay area. I think it's because there is such low turn over and they are great about recognizing people who are working really hard and doing great work. Those people move up really quickly and it's not unual for people to be promoted each year they are with the company.

Cons

It's very competitive. Everyone is such a rockstar, you really have to be extraordinary to stand out. This isn't really a con but they throw a ton of fun events. Keg parties in the office every other Friday. If you aren't into the whole work hard play hard environment, Demandforce is not for you.
