Pros

pays the bills and luckily the reps are chill

Cons

i want to preface this review with saying every review on here before Jan 2016 is outdated because that's when Intuit owned the company and treated everyone like royalty. who demandforce is today is more accurately reflected from the start of this year (jan 2017). all the reviews after January to now are a more accurate reflection of what you're about to get yourself into. someone needs to reveal the truth that management tries so hard to hide. the #1 biggest con of demandforce are the managers. they are just a bunch of 20-something year olds who decided to stick around past intuit selling this company to internet brands because they know they will never get paid this amount anywhere else. NONE of them are qualified to mentor and lead sales reps. they are cliquey and CLEARLY pick favorites. i've watched so many people be screwed over in a promotion path, and in that same breath i've watched people get promoted that definitely don't deserve it. the sales training program is more focused on makeup and shoes than actually helping reps develop and grow. it's a disgusting environment. managers talk poorly and gossip about reps on their team to other reps on the floor! it's corrupt, and honestly a joke. the only reason the intuit people are still there is because they make too much and literally do nothing. i have so many more negative things to say, but to keep it short (ish): if you're looking for an actual tech sales job that's going to help you build a career, you're wasting your time here. with the lease expiring soon, this place probably won't even be around next year. i gotta get out of here.

Pros

Most of the people that work at Demandforce are very fun to work with. They try hard, despite managements best attempts, to make it a fun work environment. The location is hard to beat. Work / life balance is fair.

Cons

I started working at Demandforce while it was still owned by Intuit. The company had a great work culture, lots of energy, and plenty of perks. Employees worked hard because they enjoyed their jobs. Unfortunately, after Internet Brands took over, all of that disappeared over the subsequent months. New management no longer communicated their strategy to staff, most of the perks were revoked, and levels of trust fell apart. Managers stopped listening to the advice of their teams and began micro managing projects. They made absolutely no attempt to build good relationships, it was all business. There was very little attention given to career development. On top of that, it became clear that they wanted to get rid of San Francisco employees and backfill positions in their LA or Mexico offices. I have since heard that other companies have faced the same treatment after Internet Brands acquired them.

Pros

- It is great for the immediate college graduate, ignorant to the world and what is really out there. This "honeymoon" phase, however, ends quickly. Disclaimer: I am not one of the recent graduates, this is just what I have observed. - Great snacks. - The product is good. - It will be really gratifying to leave.

Cons

- Since I was an LDR, drastic changes have occurred at DF, including massive layoffs. The worst part about it is that the changes are sprung on current employees, without any notice or warning. Quite frankly, you could lose your job in the blink of an eye if you don't fit in with their ever changing system. You are and will be expendable at this company, even more so than the average salesperson. - Extending on my first point, one of the big changes is a new office in LA. DF is most likely relocating to El Segundo next year. Even more, they are consoldiating our existing three floors of people all onto one floor at the start of the year. Cant wait. - The trainers are terrible and a wasted investment. - Have fun waking up to be at work between 7:00PM-7:30PM! - Vacation is an illusion. You only get it if you "deserve" it... Don't expect anything. - My biggest issue is the unfulfilled promises. If you want to create a "start-up culture" and advertise the company as such, then follow through on that, not only when it's convenient for you.
