No Diversity

Pros

Pay, benefits, early schedules, free lunch, free snacks.

Cons

There is no diversity at all within leadership; ranging from supervisors, up to senior managers. There's only on supervisor of a different ethnicity, and he's on the overnight team. Other than that, I have yet to see any one of color in a leadership position, in this department. It is very disturbing when you think about it.

Pros

- You can learn a lot, fast if you're lucky to have a leader who is invested in you - Catered lunch and dinner when working - Full health coverage - Open vacation policy

Cons

- Hardly any CEO presence. He means well, but isn't inspiring - Lacking in experienced senior leadership leading to lack of direction - Extremely male dominated. Very fratty environment most of the time - Lots of young and arrogant people being promoted to senior/director roles who just want to run the show - Talk about improving diversity, but not much gets done about it - Overall culture isn't great. Each person/team is out for themselves most of the time - Commuting to downtown SF is a pain. Could offer better commuter benefits - This is coming from an internal employee-- Drivers really aren't treated fairly or set up for success!!! Train and pay them better and they will do a better job!

Pros

-some departments in the company seem great and functional -if you find ways for your leadership to subjectively favour you, you can be able to be rewarded and grow in your DD career for awhile -the variety of product problems can be fun to solve

Cons

-little real learning outside of 'how to suck up to the right people without betraying others'. and most people choose to betray others while theyre at it -sources and interviews with biased and elitist approach that leads to clear lack of diversity or strong leadership -promotions given based on favourtism rather than real values -obsession with values is taken to creepy and cultish levels -leadership is ok with breaching ethics, lying, blatant sexism and racism and elitism - if you value employees, culture and caring for others, the Design and Product organizattions are probably not right for you
