Pros

Fantastic co workers, culture CAN be beautiful with the right owner, travel (if you're a trainer), amazing relationships with regular, opportunities for growth if you're willing to dedicate the time.

Cons

DISGUSTINGLY obvious favoritism and nepotism; under-qualified HQ employees, no benefits, over-worked, no consistent pay nationwide for the same jobs, regularly guilted out of taking breaks or vacation, will always be scheduled minimum amount of hours possible to avoid over-time pay, no holidays off, issues with racism and sexism in some operations, company will always protect people from Grants Pass from any retribution for wrong-doing, tenure valued over quality, expected to give up life for the company. The list goes on and on.

Not a career

Pros

Tips were great, they made up approx 50% of my income. Made some great lifelong friends along the way. Great short-term/summer/college job for those that need a check and some cash.

Cons

Very cultish. You don't realize it until it slaps you in the face, took just over two years for that to happen to me. Empty promises for growth, no career stability, takes 7-10 years to be able to be an operator for a stand (very nice salary with enticing contingencies), where you can get fired at any time. While they let their OG franchisees continue to open franchised spots, their version of being fired is a buyout. Full-Time employees are overworked and underpaid. Zero benefits at all. I only got a $0.25 raise from when I started to when I quit. Impossible to support any type of spouse or child. Most of the management was a part of the franchisee's church group that he created. Unqualified people managing, will more than likely schedule you on many close-open shifts (we closed at midnight, didn't leave until 30-60 minutes after, get home around 1 am just to be back at work by 4:30 am.) I had to point out way to many things they did that were against labor laws, to my RM. Junk company for those wanting to grow within, unlivable wages until you get to Regional Manager (will take a minimum of 5 years on the very low end).
