      The culture of the company, explained in professional power, is unlike any other. Working at EPB is becoming part of the family.

      Cons

      There are honestly no downsides that I have experienced working at EPB. It is a truly amazing company to work for.

      Benefits are amazing, facilities and perks (catered food) are definitely a plus and they really cared about their employees and their families

      Cons

      I didn't feel the training period was long enough to learn everything desired. The shifts were a little odd, and working a Saturday every now and then wasn't ideal.

      Don't bother if you're in customer service

      Pros

      The benefits and the pay are GREAT for the position. There is an employee clinic that you and your family can use. It's free, and when I was there, the maintenance medications that were non narcotic were free as well. It's a great savings.

      Cons

      The customer service managers are intimidated by anyone that is outgoing/go-getter and/or different. They are DEFINITELY not pro LGBT, and work to get them out of the company. Since it's a utility, when they say MANDATORY overtime, they mean it. There is no notice to the overtime. If it's 30 minutes before your shift is over, and it starts raining, you are there until whenever the managers see fit. It's not a great position if you have a family, or if you don't have an awesome support system for kids (if you have them).
