Pros

This company has amazing women to work with and they are all extremely supportive and passionate about the store. I have found multiple amazing mentors through the company who have helped me tremendously in my leadership/working abilities. Because it's still a smaller company, if you work hard and have a goal there is room for you to grow and get promoted. Megan Tamte, the CEO, is also incredible! I work part time at a store in a different state than where she lives and have had the opportunity to meet her twice. She cares a lot about all of her stores and is always looking for feedback from customers and employees that she truly considers and has often taken action on. Each employee is required to work 12 hours and week and 2 weekends a month, though I have had multiple different managers and if you are committed and excited about the job they have always been able to make exceptions.

Cons

Scheduling is very up and down, one month you could be worked like crazy and the next get hardly any hours. Though I find this to be common in most retail jobs. Each store is made up of mostly part-time people, which can occasionally be a problem when it comes to each employee really putting their all in to the job. They don't provide any type of time and half pay when you work holiday hours, which you WILL have to.

Pros

fun Co-workers, discount, location, merchandsing

Cons

VERY disappointed working for this company! Inconsistent training/support from upper management. Inadequate computer server that was constantly crashing! Inexperienced managers, rigid culture that looks for those who are "Followers". Opinions are discouraged and a big no no unless you are "friends of the owners." Don't work here if you are looking to be empowered. My experience was that they are not looking for women who think for themselves and are willing to speak their minds. There was pressure to be an aggressive sales person even though stylists are not paid commission. Some women that have dealt with the home office employees have left the company after realizing the arrogance of the executive team. Most people who work at the home office started working at the original Edina store and got their jobs because they are friends with the owners not because they are the most qualified and many can be very rude. Fairly young company that is still trying to figure out their infrastructure. Communication from the home office down to store level is really poor and leaves store personnel unprepared.

Pros

The training for someone who has never worked retail before is good.Teach body type and style training. Some management training is also available , if you are aggressive and self teach.

Cons

For more seasoned retail stylists , finding ways to be yourself is difficult on more than a part-time basis. HR Promotes from within and it helps to already be an friend of one of the investors or to know the HR Director because that inner circle is difficult to penetrate.
