Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's wonderful to hear that you appreciate the kids and families. However, I understand that the expectation to work after school hours can be challenging. Balancing work and personal time is crucial for well-being. If there are specific concerns or suggestions regarding this, feel free to contact jobs@ehtp.org. I'd be happy to see if we can assist you regarding that. Best Regards, East Harlem Tutorial Program

Many Good Things Happening Here

Pros

Pay equity and transparency. Folks here genuinely care for students, family, and the community. Family here has more say in hiring decisions for leadership roles. There's a culture of feedback that I appreciate as I grow.

Cons

It's not as organized as it could be. At times, it feels like a startup in terms of the lack of systems and structures. I'd also love more consistency with staff, especially leadership.

Pros

serving the East Harlem community

Cons

Management and leadership hold staff to arbitrary/undefined standards and goals, do not provide feedback or coaching and then penalize you for not meeting whatever benchmark they did not communicate you were responsible for. Employees are treated as though they are disposable and the org acts with little to no integrity in how they handle org restructuring. If you would like to join an organization with no vision, minimal career development( unless it involves doing the jobs of multiple people) and is well below status quo, ETHP is the place for you.
