Pros

Great colleagues who really care about providing quality services to people with autism Strong benefit package for a not-for-profit, and recently improved compensation practices Agency really values on-going learning and development of employees There are multiple different program types, so you can change jobs if you need to in order to accommodate school or family obligations

Cons

Work is important, impactful, but definitely not easy! Government funding for not-for-profits is often limited and rules are constantly changing, which makes personal planning for career development challenging Turnover rates in most similar not-for-profits right now are very high, so if you are not flexible, understanding, have a good work ethic, or are unwilling to step up as needed to ensure good care and teaching is provided, you will have a hard time here There are lots of laws and regulations to learn and follow... this is not really a "con" for most, and most of them have a very solid and important basis, but if you don't want to commit yourself with integrity to meeting such requirements and following policies aimed to protect vulnerable children and adults with autism, you are unlikely to find Eden II a good employment fit

Pros

You get to work firsthand with individuals with Autism. You learn ABA techniques and how to implement service plans. Benefits are decent. Pay is competitive for this field.

Cons

So much paperwork. Unclear lines for manager/LSS/QIDP on certain topics. Training material can be inconsistent depending on who is giving the training.

Pros

A lot of the people that work and attend here have grown together. That sort of symbiotic relationship, I believe helped the student thrive in their goals and challenges.

Cons

I think the agency's ambitions might exceed than their actual capability.
