Pros
The workplace culture is great - diversity, dog-friendly, family-oriented. Catered lunched come twice a week, unlimited PTO, and various other perks contribute to the startup-culture feel and scooter-filled environment. If you've got the right drive and work ethic, even younger employees have great career opportunities moving up the chain here. Broad experience is thrown at you every day
Cons
You will work harder than you ever have before, for less pay and little to no management recognition. A few years ago the company seemed poised for huge growth, but several missteps since then have caused the future of the company to get cloudy. The product is far behind the curve now and needs to catch up in a big way, and recent product offerings have fallen flat in performance and stability. Management in my area was grossly incompetent, doing much more harm than good (who am I kidding - I didn't see management do any good) when trying to cover their mistakes and lack of really doing anything. Basically seems like they want to just coast by with the title and expend more effort avoiding work than actually doing work. How do you expect a team to run when the management shows up from 10am-2pm only? VPs have no real power.
