Pros

Depending on the project you can have nice challenges, Some coworkers are really really talended and it's possible to learn a lot. Overtime is paid at the end of month.

Cons

Ohhh boy, where do I start... My life became hell when I started here. I tried to adapt I think for the first month but after that I knew I was going out. The level of micromanagement is one I've never seen before. You can be asked about a status report 30 min after starting on a task. You have to log time to the tasks and meet the estimate in the task(Sometimes the estimate is not made by the developer). There's a software(it's easy to hack) that runs every day to check that people don't make manual logging of time!! I find the existence of that software kind of insulting. To avoid writting a long letter here I'd say they avoid to turst employees in every circunstance. The company culture is based on sick control over people. Sorry that's the nicest way I can write it. P.S. If you're ok with that level of control. it may be actually a good place to work. I'm clearly not used to that and that's why it was such a bad experience.

At FullStack we ask everyone on our team to both give and receive feedback on a regular basis which helps us all grow and improve over time. So this type of constructive feedback is valued and appreciated. To help future candidates understand what to expect at FullStack, we'll address each of your points directly. Compensation - We're glad to hear that you approve of our compensation program, including the payment of overtime bonuses. Many employers require employees to put in extra hours without compensating them for this additional time. That doesn’t seem right to us, so we’re proud to pay our employees overtime bonuses for each extra hour that they work. We believe FullStack is one of the better paying consultancies in both the USA and Colombia and we're glad to hear that you agree. Micromanagement - Our general approach to management is to be hands-off and give team members room to work independently and in ways that are best for them. However, for developers that consistently fail to meet expectations, we take a more direct, hands-on approach, in an attempt to bring their performance up to FullStack's high quality standards. Talented developers capable of managing their own time thrive at FullStack, and are not micromanaged. Reporting - FullStack is growing quickly with developers located around the world. To help manage our distributed teams we've built automated reporting tools that track what is getting done and by whom, which helps project managers, clients, and the team as a whole. We're disappointed to hear that you hacked these reporting tools while working at FullStack. Frankly, this is unethical behavior and a violation of FullStack's high ethical standards. Proudly admitting to this behaviour is a clear indication that you do not share FullStack's values, and you were not a cultural fit for our company. Public Feedback - Providing feedback in public is a clear violation of FullStack policy. Our managers are trained to never do this, and we will continue to ensure that this does not happen. Performance reports are sent to developers privately and are never shared in public slack channels or other public places. Sprint Retrospectives - We run two week sprints and hold a sprint retrospective meeting at the end of each sprint. This is a standard part of the SCRUM process and gives the team a chance to discuss the sprint, celebrate wins, and discover areas for improvement on the next sprint. One of FullStack’s company values is “Extreme Ownership”, which means we seek to take ownership over everything we do, and accept responsibility when things go wrong. Put another way, when things go wrong, there’s no one to blame but ourselves. So when an employee fails to thrive at FullStack, its FullStack’s fault. It’s an indication of our failure in one or more areas; hiring, training, management, performance improvement, culture, etc. We don’t like to fail, so we intend to learn as much as we can from this specific case so that we may improve in the future.

Pros

FullStack is constantly moving in order to offer our customers the necessary services that they are looking for in the fast-paced environment. Leadership has been deliberate about pivoting toward AI-driven service offerings, which puts the company in a strong position as client demand shifts away from traditional staff augmentation toward higher-value, tech-enabled delivery models. There's a clear sense that the business is evolving rather than standing still, and the investment in AI capabilities feels forward-looking rather than reactive. The nearshore delivery model combined with the AI offering gives the company a differentiated position in the IT services space. It's not always easy as fast growth means priorities shift and things move before all the dust settles but for people who want to be part of a company actively redefining its value proposition, it's an engaging place to work. Comp is strong and benefits are solid.

Cons

-Shifting priorities can run ahead of communication across the teams who are implementing the new structure -Have to wear multiple caps as anything can be improved

Pros

- Company knows the importance of AI and is willing to give it as a tool to help their workforce - Flexible with time tracking. You have to track your time but the time of day you do your work is very flexible depending on the project you're working on.

Cons

- No equipment. Would be nice if there was some kind of leasing of laptops. - Salary is a bit below the average but depending on your country it's still very attractive. - You might get unlucky if you get to work with some delivery managers there that are too strict with "following processes". They have solid playbooks and an onboarding process and most of them knows that it's purpose is to serve as a guideline, not a strict rule set on stone. But some unfortunately are still with a poor mindset.
