Pros
You can meet some of the most genuine people that want to have fun there and make it an awesome place. My manager was supportive and caring to the team and that made a huge impact on how we carried ourselves. Our crew was something special with everyone being able to share their niches and just have a good time learning from each other and about ourselves.
Cons
Working a retail role always comes down to how you handle potential unpleasant conversations you might have with customers or management. Whether it's from customers not reading the return policy properly or needing to hit certain sales targets, the ASM is there is share the responsibilities for many such situations. Though many customer situations can be solved, there are times when it just comes down to numbers and that's what management cares the most about. Another issue is also that there is not much career progression aside from being manager and opportunities like those are few and far between.
