Pros

GuideOne has been constantly improving since removing Personal Lines. This includes revolutionizing new ideas for a modern company by coming up with new ideas and removing employees who were stuck with antiquated philosophies. The benefits are quite good. They aren't the best benefits but they are very competitive for the area and industry. The culture is welcoming and enjoyable and management in the vast majority of the company is welcoming to new ideas, innovations, and people. There is free lunch(when we are in the office and not working from home) Show support for team members during a pandemic.

Cons

There still are some antiquated ideas or a couple of management members who those ideas. Salary, and more importantly raises could be vastly improved recently, last two years, raises took a significant cut in the budget allotted for them.

They have outsourced most of their services to The Mutual Group, so if you want to work for GuideOne you have to get a job with The Mutual Group.

Pros

remote work. minimal micro management. barely any meetings.

Cons

Tech could be better. it was all good until Guideone was acquired by The Mutual Group. said everything will be A OK. solicited alot of feedback from Employees, then forced employees to say that it's a certified great place to work. Then layoffs happened. more will probably come. uncertain future
