Pros

It's hard to find any redeeming qualities amidst the chaos.

Cons

- Arbitrary layoffs followed by the hiring of contractors, indicating poor decision-making and lack of concern for employee welfare. - Forced Return to Office policies despite clear employee dissatisfaction expressed through surveys. - Company benefits are nearly inaccessible, often requiring an unreasonable one-year pledge letter. - Unreasonably long notice periods for resignation, making it difficult for employees to transition to new opportunities. - Instances of withheld or unpaid salaries, which speaks volumes about the company's financial mismanagement. - Numerous other undisclosed issues, suggesting mismanagement and a downward trajectory for the company's operations in the region. My experience working at LINE Indonesia has been nothing short of disheartening. The management here operates with a concerning lack of transparency and integrity, consistently disregarding employee feedback and welfare.

Pros

There is a culture that challenges us.If you have a desire to do a particular job, make your intentions known within the company.Another feature that I recommend is that our employees get along well with each other; we cross the boundaries between HR and engineers and collaborate in our work. We also have fun in our private time, having barbecues, watching baseball, and going on trips. The company also assists with visa applications and other necessary procedures for entry into the country when emigrating from abroad.

Cons

While on the one hand it is a good aspect to be entrusted with the work you said you wanted to do, on the other hand, you will be given more and more work to do.I think it is important to communicate one's intention to do this or not to do that.

Pros

- Opportunity to wear multiple hats - Talented designers and developers - Decent benefits (not to be confused with compensation)

Cons

- Korean management style does not mesh well with US based employees - Lack of vision and leadership - Essentially a satellite office for LINE (and Naver) to make half-hearted attempts to enter the US market without caring to understand the US market (demographics + marketing) - Office feels like a factory at times. Imagine headphones and crickets - No upward mobility. Don't expect huge raises - although bonuses aren't terrible While I've listed quite a few reasons I did not enjoy working in the LINE US office, I believe it mostly stems from my background as an English speaking American employee. If you speak Korean, enjoy the Korean work culture, love the LINE & Naver brands, and don't mind switching projects frequently, then you will probably enjoy working in the LA office.
