Pros

If you are in sales you can work out of office 3 days per week, the office environment is relaxed if you can filter out drama well. The severance paycheck due to upper management's lack of competency.

Cons

UniFirst hired me and another Sales Associate and due to corporate cutbacks had to lay us both off before we even finished training. The level of incompetency in that alone is an example of the type of company you would be working for. Nobody had the foresight to understand they could not afford to hire new employees. Truly leaving that company was a positive for me and my career and did help me land a job in software sales, but if you don't interview really well I would not plan on that. As far as sales go, they use Microsoft Dynamics which is very dated and the tablets they give you prevent you from being fully efficient at work because they are so slow and old. I was able to get a better job in sales because I interview well but obviously most software sales jobs I have come across want experience with Salesforce and aren't impressed by the programs used at this company. I started working at Unifirst in Sales as a way to beef up my resume to move on to a better sales job down the road, med or software, and most people in my sales office were doing the same. Training for sales certification is unnecessarily long, I felt like I was catfished here because after being hired we were told it would be 13 weeks before we were even certified to sell, and with the commission structure in place at this company you won't see a check (a small check) for a while. Overall advice: look elsewhere

We are always disappointed to hear that a former Team Partner feels their experience was less than positive. We hope that your new role is a better fit moving forward and appreciate your feedback.

Pros

Upper management genuinely cares about their team, and the hiring process is simple and straightforward. Base pay and the monthly stipend are both fair, and I appreciate the company's structure — questions get answered quickly, and you have dedicated team member support. I also like that the role is self-managing, with CDR handling pricing and deal structuring so you can focus on your own performance. Overall, this company really takes care of its employees.

Cons

The pay structure for this role is a bit unique — after a sale closes, the CDR earns commission for the first few months, and then commission transitions over to the drive team. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, just an observation, and I'm not knocking the company for it. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at UniFirst.
